Nerdy South April 9th – April 15th
You can’t complain about not having anything to do. This week is extremely busy with lot’s of fun events to check out. “Weird Al” Yankovic will be at the Tabernacle on Sunday. It’s a sold-out show so hopefully, you already have your tickets. You can also come hang out with me and Adam Darby at Battle & Brew for Nerdyoke that evening starting at 7pm.

Press Start x Tekken 7 week 2, Powered by ControlleRISE. Tekken month is in full effect, come out to the 2nd Installment of Press Start x Tekken. Make your way to the very back of Argosy, and the first thing you’ll see as you enter the room is a giant projector screen welcoming you to Nerd Trivia. My friends Adam Darby & Mike Jacobs bring you one hell of a good time. You’ll have Three rounds, bonus rounds, and final question. Topics range from fantasy to space opera to the silver screen, toons and tunes. They have some great prizes to giveaway too! Always on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month!

Double Dagger (Improvised Dungeons and Dragons)
Dad’s Garage Theatre Company (569 Ezzard St SE) at 8pm
It is a journey into the Realm of Improvised Nerdery! An improv comedy tribute to the classic pen-and-paper RPG, guided by our Dungeon Master and featuring a stalwart band of Player Characters, played by the Dad’s Garage cast of improvisers.
A Rocky Horror Enchanted Night
Plaza Atlanta (1049 Ponce de Leon Ave NE) at 11:30pm
It’s the same Rocky Horror Picture Show that you know and love being screened at Plaza with a full shadow cast, except this will be a night of enchantment, a fully themed show with a magical dance from the Dixie Trixies! Join in on the fun and dress up!

Markster Con Productions, known for producing a wide variety of year-round geek and alternative themed events, is calling on all fairies, gnomes, princesses, kings, queens, mad hatters, as well as all others in the fantastical Disney kingdom to tap into their inner child and come play as they celebrate with food, drink, and merriment.
Red Light Cafe (553-1 Amsterdam Avenue Northeast) from 8pm-10pm
It’s not Magic the Gathering, but it’s a gathering of people watching live Magic on stage at Red Light Cafe. This is metro-Atlanta’s favorite monthly evening of live magic, mentalism and comedy — returns to Red Light Café with opener West Evans, featuring Mark Johnson – Mind Reader, and headliner Arthur Atsma.

Rally for Science – Atlanta 2018
The Bakery Atlanta (825 Warner St) from 1pm-4pm
The rally will be held on Saturday April 14th from 1-4 pm at The Bakery, rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will move the rally into the largest indoor space at The Bakery. In addition, what will be a fantastic line up of engaging speakers, they are hosting an Expo, where attendees can visit with other organizations for information and demonstrations. Food and drinks will be available from some of Atlanta’s finest food trucks and vendors. So, put some marker to poster board and come ready to demonstrate your support for science!

Battle & Brew (5920 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs) from 7pm-12am
NerdLanta + Battle & Brew Present: Nerdyoke! This is far from any typical bar karaoke that you’re used to. What exactly is Nerdyoke? Come on out to Battle & Brew and find out for yourself. Hint: The title of the event should give you a pretty good idea of what you’ll be in store for. Join your hosts Adam & Kris as they roll out the tunes. Also, It’s highly encouraged to wear your cosplay at this event, but of course it’s completely up to you
