Volta Laboratory Social Club welcomes all chess players, grandmasters to beginners, for a monthly Drunk Chess match. There are plenty of boards and players of all skill levels. If you have never played chess before, there will be people on hand who are willing and able to help.

Our next adults-only science lecture series, Science on Tap, will be Tuesday, May 22nd with Dr. J. Marshall Shepherd, leading international expert in weather and climate. Following Dr. Shepherd’s talk, there will be time for Q & A and plenty of time for food and drinks throughout the evening. Come mingle, share some libations, and learn! This event is $10.00 and does not include General Admission. The full cost of your ticket goes directly to supporting Georgia Aquarium’s Research and Conservation initiatives. Space is very limited. Georgia World Congress Center (285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW)
MomoCon 2018 will take place over 4 days, May 24th – 27th, 2018 at the Georgia World Congress Center. MomoCon is a multi-genre fan convention encompassing American and Japanese animation, gaming (video gaming, board and card gaming, Live Action role-play gaming), comics and costuming, held every year in Spring. General operating hours are from 2pm Thursday to 5pm Sunday, with some events running later into the evening/all night (dances, music events, etc.).
