Hey, comedy nerds! There are shows every night in Atlanta but I’m gonna highlight a few that I think will be well worth your time. Y’all, ready?
Gary Gulman at Laughing Skull – Thurs thru Sat
He’s a comic’s comic and one of the biggest names in stand-up. He holds the distinction of having performed on every late night show. Gulman was scheduled to headline the Skull last year but had to reschedule so, as usual, I don’t expect tickets to last. More info.
Beer and Comedy Night at Sweetwater Brewery – Mon., 5/14
ATL has a filthy amount of breweries and comedy shows at breweries. Sweetwater is the first and longest-running one and it is easy to see why. Ruin a Tuesday morning and check it out. Sometimes there’s popcorn. More info.
Best of Atlanta Comedy at Red Light Cafe – Sun., 5/20
Laughing Skull runs a number of satellite shows around town, the newest being Red Light Cafe. Happening the third Sunday of every month, check out the newest spot (also home to the show Prayer Requests). More info.
Of course, there’s plenty of other shows going on. Find more at atlantacomedy.tumblr.com.
